Turkey

This work invites a deep reflection on the impact of genetic manipulation on nature, symbolized here by a Turkey, whose DNA contains 82 chromosomes. Using a palette of vibrant greens, blues, blacks and touches of red-yellow, the artist contrasts nature's harmony with its perfect flaws and human intervention. A barcode integrated into the molecular structure of Turkey represents the code of life created by God for all living organisms that risk being denatured, losing what was originally pure. The piece challenges us to rethink our relationship with the natural environment and to evaluate the ethical and ecological implications of genetically modifying what is part of our biodiversity.
